Barbara Jean Pletcher, 94, of South Zanesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior and with her loving husband Ralph Pletcher at 6:25 a.m. on Thur. Aug. 23, 2018. She was born on June 19, 1924 in East Fultonham, a daughter of the late George and Vinnie Dilts. She married Ralph on Feb. 15, 1948 and was blessed with five children; Bill (Vickie) Pletcher of Owega, NY, David (Polly) Pletcher of New Lexington, Barbara (Jim) Stoneburner of Fultonham, Larry (Tammy Hern) Pletcher of Zanesville, and Cathy Robinson of South Zanesville. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Two sister-in-laws Eloise Olson and Becky Pletcher. Special niece Polly (Glenn) Davis and several other nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Jean was the happiest when family gathered in her kitchen to share stories. She retired from Fountain Gift Shop and Scott’s Five and Ten Store. She was Baptist by faith and had attended Grace Baptist Mission Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers Virgil Dilts and Emmett Dilts, five sisters Adjusta Dilts, Mabel Dilts, Georgiana Coe, Betty Moore, and Marian Guest. One son-in-law Doug Robinson. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sun. Aug. 26, 2018 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Mon. Aug. 27, 2018 with Tom Barton officiating.
