Judith Ann Rockwell, 78, of Mount Perry, died peacefully surrounded by her family at 2:00 a.m. Tue. Dec. 4, 2018 at Altercare Nursing Home in Zanesville. She was born on Aug. 5, 1940 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late C. Scott and Lucille (Humphrey) McElroy. Mrs. Rockwell graduated from Philo High School in 1958 and graduated from the Bethesda School of Nursing in 1961. She retired from Bethesda Hospital where she was a nurse for 30 years. She attended the Unity Church of the Nazarene South Zanesville Campus.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Charles R. Rockwell. Four sons Richard (Lillie) Rockwell and Michael (Tessa) Rockwell of Mount Perry, Paul (Cynthia) Rockwell and Matthew (Ricci) Rockwell of Delaware. Two sisters Marge White of McConnelsville and Barbara Swingle of Crooksville. Two brothers Wayne McElroy of Glenford and Madison McElroy of Laurel Hill, NC. A sister-in-law Ermina McElroy of Zanesville. 8 grandchildren Jessica (Ryan) Galloway, Luke (Sarah) Rockwell, Kaleb (Jennifer) Rockwell, Jessi Smith, Jacob Rockwell, William Rockwell, Raven Rockwell, and Paxton Rockwell. Numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Donald McElroy and John McElroy. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thur. Dec. 6, 2018 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Fri. Dec. 7, 2018 with Pastor Walt Gessner officiating. Burial will be in Fultonham Cemetery.
