Pastor Larry Diamond, 67, of Fultonham, went home to be with the Lord on Tue. Dec. 11, 2018 at Altercare of Zanesville. He was born on May 1, 1951 in Huntington, West Virginia. He was the pastor of Uniontown Baptist Church in Fultonham since July of 1986. He graduated from United Electronics Institute in Charleston, WV in 1973 and received a bachelor’s degree from Massillon Baptist College in 1985 where he was the salutatorian of his class. He was a RCA and Zenith technician for ten years, enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on Chevys, playing his guitar and mandolin, and was an avid reader of computer instructional books. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Rowena Diamond. Two sons Jeremy “J.D.” (LeeAnn) Diamond and Mark (Kristen) Diamond. Five grandchildren Shane, Felicia, Kilor, and Taelor Diamond, and Tyler Sayman. One sister Myra Diamond. A brother-in-law Darrell (Diana) Childers. Three nieces Donita, Tonya, and Shari, four nephews Scott Smith, Mike Smith, Scott Childers, and Kent Childers. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Diamond and Geraldine Steinbrecher, his father and mother-in-law Virgil and Alpha Childers, a brother-in-law Brett Childers, step-father Howard “Ducky” Steinbrecher, maternal grandparents Bill and Belle Barker. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Fri. Dec. 14, 2018 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive in White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Sat. Dec. 15, 2018 with Pastors Ed Hamby and John Norris officiating. Burial will be in Fultonham Cemetery. He was loved by most all that crossed his path. He always put you first and himself last. His calling brought him to Fultonham, Ohio in June of 1985. Brought him to a small town church needing lifted up by a small town soul. He lived what he preached and walked his talk. He was humble and simple and beautiful and he will forever be loved and sadly missed.
