Olive M (West) Mahaffey

Olive M. Mahaffey, 96, formerly of Athens, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Sun. July 22, 2018 at Brookdale of Zanesville. She was born on April 30, 1922 at home in Chauncey, the daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Shaner) West. She had been a choir director in the Nazarene Church in Athens. She is survived by three children Martha (Mike) Parsons, Kathie (Randy) Rucker, and Rev. Robert (Elaine) Mahaffey. Nine grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Mahaffey, three sisters and four brothers. Graveside services will be held Fri. July 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Athens Memory Gardens.
