Randy “Big R” Pierce, 61, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Mon. Dec. 24, 2018. He was born on Dec. 6, 1957 in Marion, Ohio, a son of the late Carlos and Eupha (Phelps) Pierce. He operated Big R Trucking for 15 years, loved riding his Harley, had a big heart, and lived life to the fullest. He was a big supporter of Maysville Athletics and was a member of the Zanesville VFW.
He is survived by his wife Mary Pierce. Four children Beth (Jeremy) Lingle, Brian (Ashtin) Pierce, Marcus (Amanda) Johnson, and Marlee Pierce. Grandchildren Cody Lingle, Caitlynn Lingle, McKynlie Sheck, and soon to be born Maddox Johnson. One brother Ronnie Pierce. Mother-in-law Mary Knapp. Sister-in-law Angie (Beth) Knapp. Brother-in-law Scottie (Erica) Knapp. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Kathy Brammer, brother-in-law Vern Brammer, father-in-law Kenneth Knapp.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sat. Dec. 29, 2018 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage.
