Ronald Lee Taylor, 86, of Zanesville, passed away September 24, 2018 under the care of Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born on March 30, 1932 in Cannelville, a son of the late Merle Taylor, Sr. and Marguerite (Prescott) Taylor. Ronald was an Army Veteran. He was a member of the Rolling Plains United Methodist Church where he had previously served as a trustee. He was a member of Zane Trail Kampers and traveled all over the country. He had also been a member of Zanesville Eagles Aerie #302. Ronald enjoyed making porch swings and other wood items.
He is survived by his daughter Linda (Kevin) Denny; brothers Merle, Jr. (Dora), Gary, Michael (Susan); sisters Rosalie Good, Shirley (Roland) Harper, Darla (Joe) Gatten; grandchildren Leigh Ann and Lisa Denny, and Kristy Reynolds-Rafiyq.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty (Ansel) Taylor; son Ronald Wayne Taylor; brothers James, Eugene, Dick, Randy; sisters Maxine, Madelyn Trout, Gladys May, Irene Bronkar, Peggy Kimble, Janice Fusner; grandchildren Christopher and Bradley Taylor.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon on Friday September 28, 2018 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. with Pat Wiseman-Jones officiating. Burial will be in Fultonham Cemetery. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that you would instead give a donation to the Abbot Senior Living Center, 1258 Greenwood Ave., Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
