Sharon A (Bargar) Connell

Sharon A. Connell, 79, of Zanesville, passed away at 8:49 a.m. Sat. Jan. 12, 2019 at Genesis Hospital.

She was born on May 19, 1939 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Robert and Ina (Terril) Bargar. She was formerly very active in the Maysville Band Boosters. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and bingo. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was proud of receiving her associate degree in accounting from MATC. 

She is survived by three children Tim Connell of Newark, Dana (Mimi) Connell and Deanna (Scott) Russell both of Zanesville. Six grandchildren Neils, Jens, and Zoe Connell of the Netherlands, Megan (Sung) Cho and Kelcey (Zack) Connell of Hilliard, and Katie Connell of Zanesville. Three great-grandchildren Hana and Emmett Cho, and Charlotte Myers. Special aunt Ramona Grant. One brother Bob (Sandy) Bargar. Two sisters Rita (Bob) Wolfe and Charlene (Louis) Rupe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband Dan Connell and her first husband Donald Pettit. One brother Bill Bargar. One sister Karen Novaria. Her father and mother-in-law Jack and Jane Connell.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tue. Jan. 15, 2019 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wed. Jan. 16, 2019. Rev. Jerry Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter or a charity of one’s choice.
