Wayne R Pettry, Sr.

Wayne R. Pettry, Sr., 77, of Zanesville, passed away on Mon. Oct. 22, 2018 at his home. He was born on Jan. 3, 1941 in Zanesville, a son of the late Hillard and Dollie (Lamay) Pettry. He was retired from Rockwell International in Newark after 34 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a former fast-pitch softball pitcher. He is survived by one son Wayne R. (Dory) Pettry, Jr. Two daughters Marsha Burkett and Michell Worden. 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. One sister Sharon Norris. Two brothers Donald “Bo” Pettry and Richard Wilson. Special friend Bill Dady.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley (Wofter) Pettry. One daughter Lisa Pettry. Two sisters Patricia Snodgrass and Sandy Smith. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thur. Oct. 25, 2018 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Fri. Oct. 26, 2018 with Minister Fred Martin officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
