Barbara A. King, 82, of Zanesville, passed away on Friday March 26, 2021 at The Oaks at Northpointe. Barbara was preceded in death by the love of her life Kenneth King whom she was married to for 48 years. She was born on August 31, 1938 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late George and Blanche Hodgson. Barbara was a devoted housewife that loved to cook and bake, care for her family most of her married life. Barbara did work at Sears, Roebuck & Company in the credit department, and later in life as a cashier at Campbell's and IGA in South Zanesville, as well as working for Dr. Paul Hoffman. Barbara was a member of Eastern Star Chapter #52 in Zanesville and a member of First Christian Church.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Karen (Frank) Wiseman and a son Kent (Libby) King. Sisters Marjorie Maier, Carolyn Scott, and Sandra (Kenneth) Jones. Grandchildren Kate, Allison, and Natalie King, Zack Morris, Kaleb and Drew Wiseman, Kyle, Marcus and Matthew King. Multiple nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth King, her son Mark A. King, her sister and brother-in-law Norma (Bob) Miller, brothers-in-law Russell Scott and John Maier.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday March 29, 2021 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday with Rev.
