Byron "Butch" D. Mason

Byron D. "Butch" Mason, 69, of Zanesville, passed away Friday March 19, 2021 at Altercare of Zanesville under Genesis Hospice care. He was born on October 18, 1951 to James and Betty Mason. Butch worked as a local truck driver for Dunn's Trucking from which he retired. He was preceded in death by his father James A. Mason.

He is survived by his mother Betty Mason. One son Kurt Mason Collins. One sister Sharon (Sonny) Quimby. A granddaughter Tristin Collins, and a special friend Tim Williams.

Butch loved being with friends and enjoyed time spent around people just "shootin the breeze" and having a good time. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice and all the home health care workers who cared for Butch while still at home.

Friends may call from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. Tue. March 23, 2021 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tue. March 23, 2021 with Pat Wiseman-Jones officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park.
