Carl Ray Thorp

Carl Ray Thorp, 63, of Thornville, passed away early Tuesday December 7, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 15, 1958 in Zanesville, a son of the late Carl Lee Thorp and Florence (Spires) Thorp. He loved his dog Ozzy, loved having company over to watch Ohio State University football games, enjoyed gardening and doing custom work on his vehicles. 

He is survived by his wife Dotty Thorp. Two children Tawnya Thorp and Brian (Amanda) Thorp. Four grandchildren Izayah, Iyannah, Jackson, and Keatin.  His siblings Jim Thorp, Carla Boilon,  Bill (Twila) Thorp, Bonnie Whittington, and Tracy Ridenbaugh. Numerous nieces and nephews and many friends that he considered family. In honor of Carl's passion for OSU,  everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite OSU apparel to the services Saturday.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday December 11, 2021 with services to follow at 12:00 p.m. at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage. Burial will be in Kirkersville Cemetery. Following the graveside services a meal will be served at the AMVETS in Thornport at 3:15 p.m. Saturday.
