Cindy Weaver, a lifelong educator and devoted owner of collies, passed away on October 26, 2025, in Zanesville, Ohio, at the age of 70. Born on October 16, 1955, in Dayton, she graduated cum laude from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Education degree and later earned her PhD from the University of Chicago. Her distinguished teaching career spanned decades, touching countless lives in the Liberty Center and Zanesville school districts. Known for her warmth, intellect, and unwavering dedication to her students, she leaves behind a legacy of inspiration and kindness. Her gentle spirit and love for collies brought joy to all who knew her. Cindy is survived by her sister Joan Elizabeth (Ronald)Savage and her brother Philip Andrew (Judy Dinius) Weaver. A niece and 3 nephews, Karen Elizabeth Savage, John Joseph Weaver, Daniel Paul Savage, and David Michael Weaver. Four great nieces and nephews, Lucille Weaver, Wyatt Weaver, Alice Weaver, and Wylie Weaver. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal shelter in her memory. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday November 1, 2025 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home in White Cottage.
