Edith "Toodles" (Mauller) Nicholson

Edith ‘Toodles’ Nicholson, 89, of Zanesville, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022. She was born January 2, 1933 in Zanesville, Ohio to Esther Ackley and Richard Mauller. She is preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, David; her parents; her son Michael; brothers James and Richard and son-in-law Tom. Toodles is survived by her children, Dixie Spears; Joni (George) Spears; David (Brenda) Dozer; Sally (Phil) Harris; and step-son Raymond Nicholson; 16 Grandchildren, Lori, Tommy, Jodi, Kelly, Stacy, Heather, Misty, Rick, Angie, Andrea, Jessica, Michael, Brad, Brooke, Josh and Jeremy; several great and great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Peggy (Sam) Cornelius and Victor (Rosanna) Ackley; and many special friends including her Ladybugs.

She worked in the restaurant business for years, most recently retiring from Eaglesticks Golf Club (formerly Steer Inn). 

She will lovingly be remembered as a spunky lady with her cowbell who enjoyed nothing more than watching her grandsons under those Friday Night Lights.

Toodles’ family will receive friends and family from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friday May 13, 2022 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Combs officiating.
