Elsie Agin Obituary

Elsie (Ford) Agin born July 18th, 1924 passed away peacefully in her home on October 15, 2022 surrounded by family. She is survived by her children William (Dorothy) Rucker Jr., Ann (Robert) Mohler, Susan (George) Meredith, and Charles (Paula) Rucker Sr. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her mother Leah Dupler, her aunt Levina Russell, husbands William Rucker Sr., Carl (Katt) Kelly and Clayton Agin and three brothers Thurmond Ford, Roland Ford, and Robert Dupler.  She is survived by her two half-sisters Jean Henning and Shirley Fisher and her best friend Chico (her dog).

Elsie was strong, independent and had just a few opinions that she would freely share and justify as her English and German heritage. She was also loving and giving, always willing to help others. Growing up on “the farm” Elsie would tell you, instilled a strong work ethic and love of family.

Elsie was resourceful and proud. She independently raised four young children whom she loved with all her heart. She was always on the move and engaged with life. She loved bowling and her years of service in the Women’s Auxiliary at Eagles. She also loved gardening, attending church, and cooking. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t throw together that didn’t turn out great.

Elsie retired from Essex Wire where she was well respected for her meticulous service.

In all her years Elsie never knew a stranger as you quickly became a friend. She would never forget you and kept us all in her prayers. Elsie had wonderful doctors and nurses who cared for her and whom she loved and appreciated. She was truly blessed and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her and will remain in our hearts always.
