Elsie Elizabeth Roberts Oct. 12, 1923 - March 16, 2021
Elsie Elizabeth Roberts, 97, of Zanesville, Ohio took her final journey on the wings of an angel on Tue. March 16, 2021 to be reunited with her Heavenly Father and loving husband, Carl V. Roberts Jr who passed away May 22, 2018. She was born on October 12, 1923 to the late Thomas and Hettie Null Burgess in Richlands, Virginia. She was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt , cousin and a loving Friend to many. She lived a full life and a smile that made you happy when she smiled. She could be funny, but she also could be stubborn.. A trait that has carried on down through her family. She was a home maker and loved her family deeply. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, putting puzzles together and working outside in her yard and flower gardens. In her later years, she loved to swing on the porch with her husband and cats. She loved God and her family and was kind to her friends and was always willing to help those in need.
She will be sadly missed by her six surviving children: Ron Hunter, Linda Miracle, Carl ( Melanie ) Roberts, Tamie ( Pete) Meredith, Tim (Jane) Roberts, and Dave (Carol) Roberts. Grandchildren: Ashley Chesser and family, Jamie Ball and Family, Dallas Roberts, Delaney Roberts, Great Grandson Steven Hunter and family. Roberrt Chapman and family, Chad Chapman and family. Sister Ann Hampton and Family. Sister-in-law Phyllis Burgess and Family .Many Nieces and nephews .
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Roberts Jr, her beloved daughter-in-law Sharen Hunter, her grandson Douglas Hunter. Brothers Elvin (Helen) Burgess, Roscoe (Rose) Burgess, Kenny Burgess, and Joe (Wilma) Burgess. Sisters Blanche Williams and husband Larry Williams, Nancy Snedden and husband Kyril Snedden, Mother and Father in law Carl and Mary Roberts Sr., Sister-in laws Anne (Lewis)Echelberry, Elizabeth (Herman) Wilson, and Mary (Bill) Dingey.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday March 19, 2021 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pat Wiseman-Jones officiating.
