Evelyn M. Browning, 92, of Zanesville, formerly of Florida, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.  She was born on October 24, 1933 in Avondale, Ohio, a daughter of the late Elmer and Edna (Worstall) Young.  She is survived by three children, Steve (Lisa) Browning of Zanesville, Cheryl Benincasa of Florida, and Alan Browning of Zanesville.  Grandchildren Teri Lynne (Ed) Villmaier of Washington, Angie (Scott) Gundelfinger of Zanesville, Scott (Dyna) Boggs of Florida, Niki (Brad) Gibson of Zanesville, Anne Benincasa of Texas, Jennifer (Adam) Mallett of Cumberland, Mathew (Inzie) Browning of Zanesville, Christa Browning of Zanesville, Maija Benincasa of California, Seve (Maria) Benincasa of Virginia.  21 great grandchildren. One sister Florence Owens of Florida.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years Dayle A. Browning, four sisters Lula (Ralph) Mock, Esther (Miles) Shilling, Audrey (Webb) Smith, Linnie (Virgil) Slack, one son Gary Browning of Zanesville.  Evelyn worked in the family business at City Electric Service in South Zanesville for many years. She was a member of the Rolling Plains Church and an associate member of the First United Methodist Church in Jensen Beach, Florida.  Evelyn received her 65 year pin in August of 2024 for the Muskingum #485 chapter of Eastern Star.  She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, painting, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with family.  Calling hours will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday February 7, 2026 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m.  with Pat Weissman Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
