Fern Louise (Robinette) Untied

Fern Louise Untied, 94, passed from this world April 4, 2023 to join her beloved Grandmother, who raised her, in paradise with their Lord. Fern was born in Newton Township, Muskingum County, Ohio on January 28, 1929. She had lived at the Morton House of Muskingum Residentials Housing on Brighton Blvd since 1980.  She was adored by both the staff and other residents. She enjoyed a very happy life there for 43 years.  Although because of her disabilities, Fern never learned to read. She was a music savant playing piano, organ, and accordion. She could play any song she heard. She played for friends at the Senior Center and Carr Center for many years. Fern was a faithful member of the Norval Park Church of Christ. She always enjoyed a good church potluck and loved singing gospel songs. Summer days would find her rocking on the porch and listening to music on her radio. Fern was preceded in death by her husband Henry Untied. She is survived by a brother Curt Robinette, an uncle Raymond Hale, and cousins Richard Hale, Joe (Judy) Hale, Jeannie Crozier, Judy McGee and Jackie Wade. Calling hours will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday April 10, 2023 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage with a service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Sam Bartrug officiating.
