Fred L. Himmelspach, Jr., 70, of South Zanesville, passed away on Thur. July 1, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 28, 1951 in Zanesville, a son of the late Fred and Betty Himmelspach.
He was a retired meat cutter, formerly owned and operated Vista View Market and Main Street Market. Fred enjoyed many years owning and training harness racing horses in both Ohio and Florida. He enjoyed fishing always and sharing that at Uncle Fred’s Fish Camp in Merritt Island .
He spent his later years as an avid gardener, amateur winemaker and Fred loved to cook!! He was always willing to share his memories as a great storyteller.
He is survived by two children Fred L.(Cindy) Himmelspach III and Taci (RIck Ikenberry) Gorby. Four grandchilden Olivia Himmelspach, Victoria (William ) Tracey, Chase(Ally)Himmelspach, and Kayla (Cory) Daubenmire. Three great grandchildren Emmy, Piper, and Teddy. Two sisters Roseanna Sterling and Debby (Wayne) Anderson. Two nephews Heath (Paula) Sterling and Nick(Amanda) Anderson. Great-nieces Haley and Kadelynn and great-nephew Brodix.
He was preceded in death by his former spouse Judi Barnhart, grandson Clay Gorby , brother-in-law Larry Sterling and great niece Heather Sterling.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon on Monday July 5, 2021 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at Noon with Deacon Mark Weiner officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
