Gloria Merew

Sister, Aunt, Great Aunt. Friend. Gloria Merew, 74 of Zanesville, passed away Monday August 30, 2021 at Genesis Hospital after a very short battle with Covid-19. She was born October 4, 1946 in Zanesville, OH, daughter of the late Quincey and Janet Merew. She retired from Lear Corporation when they closed their doors and was 2ndhighest in seniority. She spent her retirement writing to pen pals, having lunch with old friends and co-workers, and buying snacks for her great-nephew.

She is survived by her sisters Sue Merew and Elaine Merew; her niece Kayla Merew and her beloved great-nephew Corbin Merew.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Paul Merew. 

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wed. Sept. 1, 2021 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thur. Sept. 2, 2021 with Pastor Walt Gessner officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
