Jack W. Andrews, 97, of Zanesville, passed away at 3:28 a.m. Fri. Feb. 19, 2021 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born on Jan. 30, 1924 in Norwich, Ohio, a son of the late Thelma (Jennings) Cheatham and Morris Cheatham and John Andrews. He was a World War II Army veteran participating in the 4th day landing of the Normandy invasion. He was decorated with the EAME Theater Ribbon with 5 Bronze Stars. Following the war he was the co-owner of the Sinclair Gas Station at the corner of Putnam Ave. and Adams St. in the 1950's. He retired from Burnham Corporation. He was truly a "jack of all trades".
He is survived by two sons Thad (Karen) Andrews and Jim (Debbie) Early. Grandchildren Stephanie (Chris) Early, Melanie (Brandon) Darrell, Tanner (Bryttney) Andrews, Bryce (Karsen) Andrews, and Zack Andrews. Step-grandsons Casey (Cassie) Street, Corey (Amber) Street, and Wesley (Destinee) Davis. Great-grandchildren Echo Andrew; Riley, Abby, Claire, Camden, Addison and Ashtyn Street: Julian Olson, and Brennan Darrell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Esther Mendenhall Andrews whom he married on July 9, 1961 and died on March 11, 2020. One son Greg Andrews. One brother Vincent Andrews.

Feb. 25, 2021 with Rev. Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Union Cemetery where Zanesville VFW Post #1058 and American Legion Post #29 will conduct military honors.
