Jacob Nicholas Baesel, 44, of Zanesville, passed away on Oct. 31, 2023. He was born on August 4, 1979 in Zanesville. He was a HVAC service manager for Airecom in Columbus. He loved to fish, hunt, and ride four-wheelers. He is survived by his wife Shannon Baesel. His mother Penny Wright. His father Jerry (Patty) Baesel. One son Kristopher Smart. Four step-children Elizabeth, Jacob, Sarah, and Haley. Two step-grandchildren Braelynn and Cohen. One sister Neley (Matt) Wallace. One step-sister Danielle (Kirk) Henderson. One step-brother John Rucker. His paternal grandmother Pauline Baesel. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Two special friends Jeremy Knapp and Dennis Jackson.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents David and Donna Robison. His paternal grandfather George Baesel.  A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Fri. Nov. 3, 2023 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home with George Farmer officiating.
