James Mount Obituary

James W. Mount, 83, of Zanesville, passed away at 11:25 p.m. Tue. July 13, 2021 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born on June 20, 1938 in Zanesville, a son of the late John and Edna (Davis) Mount. He was a retired welder at McGraw Edison where he was employed for 35 years. He was a member of Fair Oaks Baptist Church. He enjoyed baseball and softball and attending his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Judy Mount. Two daughters Krystal Mount (Mike Hammers) and Pam (Lew) Nicholas. Ten grandchildren Evan, Kristopher, Ashley, Donovan, Josh, Travis, Brady, Riley, Regan, and Tess. Four great-grandchildren Carter, Wyatt, Quinn, and Elowyn. One brother Bill Mount. One brother-in-law Don Winland. One sister-in-law Nancy Rimmel. Several nieces and nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter Sally Ann Moody. One sister Gloria Winland. One sister-in-law Cindy Mount. One brother-in-law Jerry Rimmel.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Fri. July 16, 2021 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sat. July 17, 2021 with Pastor Mark Shoemaker officiating.
