John Jenkins, 92, of New Albany, died Friday October 17, 2025. He was born on June 21, 1933 in White Cottage, a son of the late John H. and Freda Margaret (Weller) Jenkins. He is survived by his brother Jeff (Rita) Jenkins and nieces Renee Callahan and Julee McDevitt. He graduated from New Lexington High School. After graduating high school, he served in the United States Army. He went on to work for the Air Force working at Boeing until the age of 78. He worked on the guided missile system and he took great pride in his work. He was also a proud member of the Masons. He had been a great athlete and played many sports, enjoying golf into his late 80's. He loved cars, owning seven Corvettes. He loved his dogs and remembered every dog he had going back to his teens. He spent his later years with his good friend Irene McGrevey and they enjoyed each others company. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wed. Oct. 22, 2025 at Fultonham Cemetery with Pastor Chris Harkness officiating.
