John Alan Swope

John Alan Swope 70 of Zanesvville passed away Monday July 6, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark. 

He was born August 18, 1949 in Zanesville 

John was a easy going, laid back person, he loved spending time with his boys and spoiling his grandchildren and friendly games of cards on Friday nights, his grandchildren were the apple of his eyes; he was a very strong-willed person that had survived many life threatening circumstances; he was a former employee of Essex Wire and was a U.S. Army Veteran;  

He is survived by his 3 sons Jason Phillips, John (Crystal) Swope of East Fultonham and Joey Swope of Zanesville; 7 grandchildren and several other family members. 

Per John’s wishes cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
