Karen (Wofter) Metcalf, 78, of Dresden, passed away on Monday March 30, 2026 at her home. She was born on July 28, 1947, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy (Newton) Wofter.


She is survived by her husband Bill Metcalf, Jr. Three sons Bill (Tina) Rucker, Steve Rucker, and Bobby (Abby) Beem. Three step-children Stephanie Hayes, Bill Metcalf III, Julie Metcalf. Grandchildren Billy (Keri) Rucker, Heidi (Sean) Calendine, Kiersten Johnson, Kaitlynn (Isaiah) Seger, and Brooklynn Johnson. Great-grandchildren Cayden, Paige, Steven, Cody, Colton, Kristen, Violet, Zephyr, and Evana. Two sisters Ellen Gibson Coen and Linda (Jim) Erwin. Three brothers John (Jan) Wofter, Marvin (Cheryl) Wofter, and Charlie (Sandi) Wofter. Special niece Melissa Weaver.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father Shed Shipley. Two brothers Ben Wofter and James Wofter. One sister Shirley Petry. Previous husband Ron Beem.
