Lena Mae Caplinger, 92, of Zanesville, formerly of Roseville, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday April 10, 2024 at Willow Haven Nursing Home. She was born on November 3, 1931 in Roseville, a daughter of the late John and Seameda (Wickham) Smith. She had formerly worked at Essex/Lear/United Technologies for 28 years.

She is survived by two daughters Vicky (Wayne) Russell and Char (Karl) Sherrick. Four grandchildren Scott (Deanna) Russell, Kelly (Brad Tipton) Valentine, Bob Williams, and Nikki (Dave) Frame. Six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her companion for over 30 years Robert Northcutt. Her siblings Mabel Crane, twins Johanna Snyder and John Smith, Helen Mills, and Clarence Smith. Special niece Joy Crane Cable.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday April 13, 2024 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Darryle Moody officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
