Lloyd "Wimp" A. Dunlap Obituary
Lloyd A. "Wimp" Dunlap, 81, of Zanesville, passed away at 8:38 a.m. Thur. Aug. 19, 2021 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born on Oct. 31, 1939 in Hopedale, Ohio, a son of the late Clyde and Helen (Greer) Dunlap. He was a retired welder working in the coal industry and was a longtime member of the United Mine Workers. He was a member of The Anchor Church of Zanesville, and he enjoyed golfing and following the Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Cindy Dunlap. His children Lloyd Dunlap, Jr., Helen Hall, Monica Abbott, Austin Hatfield, Justin Corder, and Cynthia Dunlap. 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Special nephew and best friend Richard Liggett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters and by one son Kevin Dunlap.
Friends may call from 1-3 & 5-7 p.m. Sun. Aug. 22, 2021 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Mon. Aug. 23, 2021 at The Anchor Church of Zanesville, 1365 Chamberlin Street Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Pastor Aaron Bounds officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park.
