Markeeta F. Thomas, 79, of Zanesville, passed away at 8:47 p.m. on Wed. Feb. 9, 2022 at Genesis Hospital. She was born on Sept. 20, 1942 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Leo and Bernice (Tipton) Bash. She was formerly employed at Lear Corporation. She was a member of the LifeWay Church where she was baptized. She also enjoyed going out to eat with her friends. She is survived by her son Jeff Bash. Two brothers Frank Bash, Sr. and Harold B. Bash, Sr. One sister Belinda Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Thomas. Three brothers John Bash, Fred Bash, and Carl Bash. Five sisters Lillian Sowers, Gladys Hendricks, Vashti Abella, Sylvia Wisecarver, and Bernice Hayes. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Mon. Feb. 14, 2022 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tue. Feb. 15, 2022. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
