Mary A. Wigal, 86, of Fultonham, went to be with our Lord on April 19, 2022, at her home after an extended illness. Born April 25, 1935 in Fultonham, Ohio, she was a lifetime resident of Fultonham. She graduated from Roseville High School in 1953. She was a member of the White Cottage Church of the Brethren. She was active in Women's Work at her church where she played piano for many years. She had a caring heart, and always looked out for family, friends, and neighbors.
She is survived by three daughters and four sons, Yvonne (Don) Leavitt of Thornville, Sherry (Allen) Foley of Zanesville, Jill VanWey of Roseville, David (Barb) Wigal of Roseville, Chris Wigal of Zanesville, Bruce (Becky) Wigal of Zanesville, Marc (Audra) Wigal of Fultonham; one brother, George Chesser of Fultonham; ten grandchildren, Jason Leavitt, Amber Carrington, Nate Wigal, Holly Waltz, Jacelyn Wigal, Ethan Wigal, Devan Barringer, and Casey VanWey; one step grandchild, J.T. VanWey; ten great grandchildren, Tate and Tavin Leavitt, Lexi and Jaxson Carrington, Annie and Bailey Forgrave, Preston Cox, and Quenton Wigal; three step-grandkids, Trip VanWey, and Junior and Makala Waltz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond (Mabel) Chesser, her husband of 45 years, Donald P Wigal, granddaughter, Dawna Cox, grandson, David Michael Wigal and son in law, John VanWey.
Calling hours will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage, OH.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Fountain officiating. Burial will be held at Fultonham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Women’s Work at Church of the Brethren.
