Mary Lou (McCammon) Wolfe

Mary Lou (McCammon) Wolfe, 95, of South Zanesville, currently residing in Hutchinson Island, Florida, passed away on June 4, 2023 at Aiden Post Acute and Rehab Center in Florida. Mary Lou was born on June 9, 1927 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville to the late Floyd and Gertrude (Parkinson) McCammon. She was a graduate of Roseville High School and Meredith Business College. Her career  led her to several businesses to include Carskadden Optical and Maysville High School. Her hobbies included reading, playing cards and walking with her many friends at the Field House in Zanesville. She was an active member of South Zanesville United Methodist Church for many years. She cherished her religion and Bible reading. She has always been guided by her strong faith.

Mary Lou is survived by her son Dan (Joy) Wolfe of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; her daughter Lesa Kitzmiller of Hutchinson Island, Florida. One granddaughter Erin (Todd) Stoots of Peach Tree City, Georgia. Two great-grandchildren Carson Stoots and Madison (Madi) Stoots of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years Joe Wolfe. Her sister Margie Dunn. Her son-in-law Chuck Kitzmiller. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday June 17, 2023 at the South Zanesville United Methodist Church . Her nephew Sam Dunn will officiate along with the church pastor Jeff Belt. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations in her memory be made to South Zanesville Unite Methodist Church 53 East Main St. South Zanesville, Ohio 43701 or St. Judes Children’s Hospital. William Thompson & Son Funeral Home in White Cottage is assisting the Wolfe family.
