McDonald Kern: Born March 28th, 1940 and stepped over into the Promised Land on February 16th, 2021 at 2:00pm EST.Birthplace: Dungannon, Virginia. Father: William Hobert Kern. Mother: Ollie Reno Brockus Kern. Brothers and Sisters: He was preceded in passing by Wm. Everett Kern, Evelyn M. Hina, Russell B. Kern, Roxie Kern, Betty J. Carpenter, Alfred Ray Kern, and Wanda and Wilma Kern. He was also preceded in passing by his Father and Mother in Law; Donald Wise and June Wise.
He is survived by his wife Linda L. and children: Denise M. Hoffer (and Mark), Sherry L. Jasnoch, (and Whitney) Danny A. Kern (and Connie), Sisters in law Donna Hammer and Sally Henderson (and Butch). He is reunited with son Errol Kern who the LORD had stay in Heaven with HIM. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grand children and several nieces and nephews.He was a proud Marine who lived out their “Semper Fidelis” Motto: Always Faithful.He attended Hands of Faith church for many years, was a pottery worker, heavy equipment operator and trucker. He had a wonderful sense of humor and truly loved his family with great zeal, always ready to help out.He loved fishing and wrestling and his favorite hymn was “How Great Thou Art!”He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Memorial donations can be made in lieu of flowers to 2435 Maysville Pike, Zanesville, OH 43701. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sat. Feb. 20, 2021 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home.
