Meda Love Obituary

Meda Love, 71, of Newark, passed away on Tue. Dec. 22, 2020 at her home. She was born on Feb. 14, 1949 in Zanesville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert R. and Fannie E. (Fast) Brooks.

She graduated from Belpre High School and was a registered nurse at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark for 25 plus years.

She is survived by her son Matthew S. Higgins. One granddaughter Brianna N. Higgins. Her fiancee James L. Durant. One brother Robert R. Brooks, Jr. One sister Kathryn E. McHenry. Several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers John H. Brooks and Larry E. Brooks.

Private family viewing will be held from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Tue. Dec. 29, 2020 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home in White Cottage with burial to follow in Wesley Union Cemetery.
