Melvin E. McHenry, 75, of Zanesville, passed away at 3:50 p.m. Saturday March 29, 2025 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on November 23, 1949 in Redfield, Ohio, a son of the late Noel and Ruth McHenry. He had a great sense of humor, never met a stranger. He enjoyed wood working, yard work, cooking, painting, and puzzles. He loved God and his church. He had been employed at United Technology for 37 years. He leaves behind many friends and family members that will greatly miss him. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Ruthie McHenry. One son Rob McHenry. Siblings Rejeannia (Bob) Bishop, Mark (Randi) McHenry, Ruth Ann Taylor, Linda Sellers, Kenny McHenry, and Wanda (Jim) Bateson. Numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and nine brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thur. Apr. 3, 2025 at the Anchor Church of Crooksville located at 114 Sycamore Street Crooksville where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Anthony Richard and Rev. Randall Penrod officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
