Michael Lee Beardmore of Brownsville, Ohio passed away and went onto heaven to be with his wife Sue on Friday, July 28, 2023. He was born September 29, 1940 in Mount Perry, Ohio to Roy and Virgie (Schofield) Beardmore. Mike graduated from Glenford High School. He served 2 years in the Army. He worked many years and retired from Rockwell International, where he and Sue went onto own and operate Village Lanes in Thornville, Ohio. As the Hunter S. Thompson quote goes: Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” well suits Mike’s life. Mike lived a life where he loved his wife Sue, family and friends, fishing and Harley Davidson’s.
He is survived by his daughters and son in laws: Wendy & Scott Moon of Pennsylvania, Michele & Todd Black of Brownsville, grandson and granddaughter in law: Michael & Olivia Moon; brothers: Bernard, Anthony, Timothy, and Joe; sister: Rose. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Susan; brothers: John, Thomas, Andrew & Willis; sisters: Helen, Jennett and Carolyn. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Mike’s name to the Cancer Society. A brief memorial service will be provided by the Thornville AMVETS at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 5, 2023 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home in White Cottage. The family will welcome friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
