Patricia "Patti" Ann (Paxson) Clossman

Patricia “Patti” Clossman, 89, of Zanesville, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Thur. April 4, 2024 at the Oaks at Bethesda. She was born on October 9, 1934 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Floyd Orville and Edith (Howell) Paxson. She was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Duncan Falls. She retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company and then owned and operated Patti’s Attic Gift Shop for 28 years.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping, and playing the harp and piano.

She is survived by her daughters Diane (Mark) Burrier and Theresa (Jeff) Houston, her sons Jay (Cathy) Huggins and Jeff Huggins, sister Ruth Ellen (Ron) Allen, all of Zanesville. Sister-in-laws Naomi Paxson of Oklahoma and Sharon Paxson of Kentucky. Grandchildren Skyler (Kristi) Wolfe, Shawntae (Shawn) Bash, Shaelynne Beisser, Amber (Casey) Connar, Krysta (Chad) Montgomery, Breighanna Houston, Baileigh Houston, Jeff “JJ” (Sara Kapaj) Huggins and Jerry Huggins. 19 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild due in August.  Step-children Jeff (Cindy) Clossman, Randy Clossman, Greg (Julie) Clossman, Cindy (Mike) Kirkbride, Lori (Scott) Stalnaker, and Kelly (Rodney) Derreberry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Gerald Clossman. Brothers Donald, Kenneth, and Dalton Paxson.

Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday April 8, 2024 with a service to follow at 8:00 p.m. at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage. Pastor Steve Harrop will officiate the service. A dignified cremation will follow the service. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at the Oaks at Bethesda for their dedicated care. Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Full Gospel Church.
