Patricia (Patty) Hall Obituary

Patricia (Patty) Ann-Bell Northrop Hall, 80 of Zanesville Ohio, peacefully gained her Angel Wings surrounded by family in Zanesville Ohio on October 28, 2021.

Patty was born May 12, 1941, in Zanesville Ohio, to Leonard and LaVonna Northrop.

Patty never met a stranger and her home and heart were always open to everyone she met.  You never left her house with an empty stomach or an empty heart.  She was very proud of being a Navy wife of 25 years and acquired an ornery sense of humor to prove it. She was a very strong and determined woman who was not afraid to take on the world and gave us all such courage and hope.  She continuously reminded us of the preciousness of life. She enjoyed time on her swing in her back yard with her dogs Murphy and Baby Girl, she volunteered her time at a local veteran outreach program to provide care packages to current fighting soldiers overseas.  She enjoyed the time she spent with a close group of friends who called themselves the K-Mart girls.  They became friends through working together in the 80’s.  They would get together for monthly luncheons to enjoy each other’s company and friendship; we know she will be deeply missed by the “girls”.  She cherished the friendship and company of her lifelong friends Sondra (Sonny) Kirk and Margaret (Margy) Godby.  Her favorite past time was doting on her granddaughters (her pride and joy), you could feel her sense of pride when she talked about them (which she enjoyed doing…a lot).

Patty is survived by her cherished daughter and her spouse, Dawn and Steve Desrosiers of Zanesville; her granddaughters and their families; Destiny and Jacob Hooper, great grandson Dax Hooper of Delaware Ohio.  Ciara Desrosiers and Joseph Collins, great granddaughter Veronica Desrosiers-Collins (to be expected March 2022) of Zanesville Ohio.

Patty was preceded in death by her son Hayward Gene Hall Jr. August 2020.

At Patty’s request, no service will be held.  She wishes her family and loved ones to cherish their memories of her as she lived, full of love. Words cannot express how she will be missed beyond measure.  She was a rare and precious soul.  Per Patty’s last wishes, in lieu of flowers or cards she requested that any donations be made to local charities that help Veterans or to your local churches.
