Paul Kenneth Harper

Paul Kenneth Harper, 77, of East Fultonham/Zanesville, passed away in the comfort of his son’s home with both sons present on August 26, 2022. He was born on March 21, 1945, in Zanesville, a son of the late Kenneth and Alice (Crawford) Harper.

Paul was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church, worked at Rockwell International before retiring, and enjoyed spending winters at Traveler’s Rest Resort in Dade City, Florida, where he enjoyed wood carving and spending time with his brother and sister-in-law, David and Laura Harper, and many close friends. Paul was a long-time Mason. 

Paul will be lovingly remembered by his sons and daughters-in-law, (Paul) Brian and Sheri (King) Harper of Cincinnati and (Patrick) Aaron and Larisa (Higdon) Harper of Zanesville. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, A.J. Harper of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Cassie Harper of Columbus; and Jordee Harper of Zanesville. Paul was close with his siblings and their spouses, Sharon Harper, Cecile (Harper) and Paul Pletcher, and David and Laura (Riley) Harper. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and their families. 

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Carol Sue (Desarro) Harper, and two sisters, Betty (Harper) Ehrenberg and Patty (Harper) Lee. 

Special thanks to Genesis Hospice Care, especially Jeremy RN and Kesha MST who provided wonderful care to Paul during the last four weeks. 

A private memorial will be held to celebrate Paul’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to a charitable organization of the donor’s choice.
