Paul H. Slack, 85, of Mount Perry, passed away at 9:34 a.m. Wednesday February 28, 2024 at the Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born on April 28, 1938 in Zanesville, a son of the late Paul W. and Goldie E. (Brown) Slack. He graduated from Zanesville High School in 1956. He served in the United States Air Force as an aviation mechanic. He married L. Irene Thompson on October 24, 1959. They were lifetime members of the White Cottage Church of the Brethren. He was an electrician at Columbia Cement Plant. He was very active in the White Cottage Community Days, enjoyed discussing local politics, and enjoyed the sales of various and unique products. He is survived by three children. His son Greg (Debbie) Slack and their children Jeremy (Kelly) Slack, Jenny (Konrod) Morris, Jessica (Nick) Stevens; His daughter Vesta (Randy) Cavinee and their children Katie (Doug) Dodson, Mollie (Bo) Lewis; His son David (Tina) Slack and his son Bendigo. 17 great-grandchildren. Two sisters Mary Jane (Bill) Kirkbride and Martha Jarrett. Sister-in-law Loreita Slack. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife L. Irene Slack. One brother Bob Slack. Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday March 3, 2024 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday March 4, 2024. Burial will be in Wesley Union Cemetery. The family asks that memorial donations in Paul's memory be made to the White Cottage Church of the Brethren.
