Raymond "Rudy" Lee Stanbery, 76, of South Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and love on Saturday, September 27, 2025. He was born August 25, 1949, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Naomi Lantz Stanbery. Rudy was employed at Matas Pipeline and was employed in the pipeline industry for 25 years.

He was a United States Army veteran, a Sergeant in the 3rd Armored Division, serving in Germany. Rudy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He never missed a NASCAR race, a Cincinnati Bengals game, or an Ohio State Buckeyes game. 

Rudy is survived by his wife of 57 years Judy Dodson Stanbery, son Allen (Marie) Stanbery, daughter Lisa (Mike) Landerman; 4 grandchildren, Grandson Casey (Jordan) Landerman, Granddaughters Alisha Stanbery, Jennifer Stanbery and Tiffany Ward; 6 Great Grandchildren, Case, Zoey, Taylor, Aiden, Corbin and Allison; Brother Jim (Vicki) Stanbery, Brothers-in-law Clyde (Roxanne) Dodson, Floyd (Kristy) Dodson, Jeff (Chris) Dodson and Craig (Joyce) Dodson. Sisters-in-law, Lala Gullett and Lou Anne "Tug" Stanbery, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his Father and Mother-in-law, Clyde and Dorothy Dodson, his brother, John Stanbery, Sisters-in-law Shelby Butcher and Janet Stanbery, and Brother-in-law Melvin Butcher. Friends may call from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday September 29, 2025 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday September 30, 2025 with Pat Wiseman-Jones officiating. Zanesville VFW Post #1058 and the Zanesville American Legion will conduct military honors following the service.
