Rebecca (Becky/Mommakid) Barney 59 of New Lexington, Ohio passed away on December 29 2024 surrounded by family. 

 

Rebecca was born on January 6th 1965 to Helen and Donald Ewing in Long Beach, CA. She was a wonderful soul who had a heart of gold. 

 

She will be remembered for the love she had for her family, her sense of humor, and her ability to always see a silver lining even in the absolute darkest clouds. Becky loved watching the birds, her favorite was a Cardinal. Her favorite season was Spring. She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. 

 

She enjoyed her career working at Hartstone pottery, Walmart, Siemers meat market and the most recent Shawnee RoadDog. 

 

Becky is survived by Ken Barney her husband, her children Dustin (Tessa) Armstrong, Christopher (Stephanie) Armstrong, Sheena Bonice, and Corey (Trisha) Bonice, her step children Jackie, Megan, Amber, Her grandchildren Emily Armstrong, Madison Armstrong, Nataleigh Armstrong, Honor Bonice, Aubrynn Bonice, Sophia Bonice, Olivia Bonice, Amelia Bonice, Kaylee, Rayanne, Jeremy, Donavon, McKayla,Bubby, and Jacob. 

 

She was preceded in death by her brothers Ken Ewing and Micheal Ewing, her mother Helen Ewing and her father Donald Ewing. 

 

Becky will be cremated, followed by a celebration of life and burial of her ashes at a later date. 

 

May Becky rest in peace and remain forever in our hearts.
