Richard Edward "The King" Brown, 78, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday October 20, 2021 in the care of Guernsey County Hospice and AlterCare of Cambridge. He was born on January 26, 1943 in Zanesville, Ohio, a son of the late Edward Hiram Brown and Rosalie Violet (Jarrett) Brown.
Bowling was his passion and he also was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved playing softball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Richard E. Brown II, his sister Christy (Brown) Cummings, his brother Ted Brown, and his brother-in-law George Thomas.
He is survived by four children his adopted daughter Tammy (Brown) Bookless, Kelly (Cory) Guy, Kevin A. Brown, and Tracy (Tim) Krise. Eleven grandchildren David (Whitney) Beverlin, Melanie (Ryan) Nolan, Steven Adams, Jerry (Jenny) Brown, Brianna (Nick) Sanger, Joshua (Courtney) Brown, Amber Brown Durant, Laura Durant Mick, Jessica Durant, Morgan Durant, and William (Paul) Morris III. His two siblings Randy Brown and Connie (Beau) Harris. 28 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. Many nieces, nephews, and extended family and he was loved by all.
At his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Guernsey County Hospice 9711 East Pike Road, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
