Richard "Dick" Lee Gibson Obituary

Richard Lee "Dick" Gibson, 80, of Zanesville, passed away at 12:43 p.m. Sat. Jan. 15, 2022 at his home. He was born on Dec. 19, 1941 in Zanesville, a son of the late Ernest Lawrence Gibson and Anne (Wilson) Gibson. He retired from the United States Navy after 23 years, serving  two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of Meadow Farm Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Paula (Huntsman) Gibson. Step-daughter Deana Gainer. Step-son Shawn Bay. Four grandchildren Nathan, Kaylee, Alivia, and Griffin. Two brothers David Gibson and Rick Gibson. Three sisters Sandy Thompson, Karen Nelson, and Evelyn Lasure.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Bob Gibson and Skip Gibson. Two sisters Barbara Frame and Jo Ann Williams. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tue. Jan. 18, 2022 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wed. Jan. 19, 2022 with Pastor Dean Cole officiating. Following the services a luncheon will be held at Meadow Farm Methodist Church. A private graveside will be held at a later date.
