Richard “Dick” Shiplett, 85, of White Cottage, passed away at 7:47 a.m. Sunday November 26, 2023 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born on December 13, 1937 in Newton Township, a son of the late Joseph Emmett and Mary Francis Shiplett. He is survived by two sisters Rita Wilson and Ruth Cornell. One brother Donald Shiplett. Several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph Emmett Shiplett, Jr. and Clyde Shiplett.  One sister Edith Shiplett.  He retired from Grief Brothers and was an avid race car and football fan. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. William Thompson & Son Funeral Home in White Cottage is assisting the Shiplett family.
