Robert Gardner Neff, 93, passed away on Fri. Dec. 28, 2018. He was born on Aug. 16, 1925 in Cannelville. He graduated from Chandlersville High School. He joined the United States Navy and served during World War II on the LST 571 in the Pacific. He owned and operated Robert Neff and Sons, Inc. and Neff Machinery and Supply, Inc. He was a great businessman . He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Gage and Gavel Lodge for 71 years. He was a member of the Amrou Grotto for 66 years, a life member of the VFW and American Legion. He was the oldest member of Brighton Presbyterian Church. He will be remembered for his kindness and would help anyone. He was a wonderful Dad, Papaw, Pap, uncle and friend. He is survived by his four children: Jack (Connie) Neff, Francie (Don) Holdren, Bobby (Danny) Creeks, and Joe (Teresa) Neff. 9 grandchildren: Jackie (Kurt) Stottsberry, Rob Neff, Clint (Mandy) Randolph, Brady (Nancy) Randolph, Katie (Chase) Creeks-Phillips, Joey (Sarah) Creeks, Laura (Landon) Brooks, Jason Neff, and Abby Neff. 14 great-grandchildren: Tanner, Tristan, and Quentin Stottsberry, Justin and Emily Neff, Ross and Ava Randolph, Derek and Sara Randolph, Blake and Austin Creeks, Kaine and Claire Brooks, and Ellie Neff. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Sunny Neff. His parents Robert and Pearl Neff, his brother Lee Neff, his twin sister Regina Birkheimer.
