Roberta Marie (Bauer) Lenhart

Roberta Marie (Bauer) Lenhart, 87, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 6:53 p.m. Saturday April 20, 2024. She was born on February 28, 1937, a daughter of the late Earl (Ike) and Hazel (Newsom) Bauer. She graduated from Zanesville High School in 1955, soon after marrying her soul mate Larry Lee Lenhart on December 9, 1955. Roberta and Larry recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this past December.

Roberta was a stay at home mother where she lovingly raised five children among other duties. She was an amazing seamstress showing her skills by making Tina’s wedding dress and all the bridesmaid dresses as well. She was known for crocheting her comfy baby blankets that were loved by everyone and still used by her adult grandchildren. Roberta was also an employee at Tat’s Family Pizzeria where she was a centerpiece at the drive through window and register. Roberta was an amazing person that would go out of her way to help others. She will be pleasantly remembered and sadly missed by everyone that was fortunate to know her.

Roberta is survived by her five children Larry (Chris), Craig (Cheryl Mapes), Doug (Anna), Trent (Kim), and Tina (Jay) Savage. 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. One brother Dean (Tish) Bauer. One sister Suzie Wisecarver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in  death by her husband Larry Lenhart. One brother John Bauer.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at The Oaks at Bethesda for their wonderful care. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 24, 2024 at the William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Pat Wiseman-Jones officiating and burial will be in Fultonham Cemetery.
