Roger Paul Mautz

Roger Paul Mautz, 94, of Mount Perry, passed away at 8:30 a.m.  Wed. June 15, 2022 at Genesis Hospital. He was born on Nov. 21, 1927 in Zanesville, a son of the late Carl and Bertha (Imes) Mautz. He was formerly employed at Line Material, Ohio Ferro Alloy in Philo, and the Newark Air Force Base. He was a United States Navy serving during World War II and Korea. 

He is survived by three children Thomas (Ellen) Mautz, Linda (Dennis) Carter, and Pam (John) Dooley. One step-child Darrell (Theresa) Swinehart. Eleven grandchildren Robert and Elizabeth Mautz, Bruce Carter and Teri Dunlap, Heather Smith and Rachel Dooley, step-grandchildren Nicole Walker, Nathaniel Swinehart, Jerrod Swinehart, Jacob Swinehart, and Janel Swinehart.  One sister Marjorie Dixon. Step-daughter-in-law Carla Swinehart. Numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Alice Arlene Mautz, his second wife Roma Mautz. Step-son Richard Swinehart. Granddaughter Cheryl Mautz. Four brothers Myron, Eugene, Dale, and Glen Mautz.

Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Sunday June 19, 2022 with services to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage with Rev. Melodie Rezac officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Salvation Army, Christ’s Table, or the Gideon’s Society.
