Shirley Ann Lear, 75, of Zanesville, passed away Sun. Dec. 26, 2021 at Select Medical in Newark. She was born on May 16, 1946 in Cow Creek, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Ira and Velma Bird. She loved hanging out with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, playing bingo, going for walks, and baking. She loved going to the Senior Center weekly, playing bowling, bingo, exercising, and eating lunch with so many dear friends. She enjoyed the Andy Griffith show, The Walking Dead show, and collecting pigs. She is survived by her children Tim (Angie) Lear, Terry (Debbie) Lear, and Tina (Robert) Peyton. Her siblings Ronald Bird, Emmett Bird, and Deloris Weidig. Her grandchildren Justin Peyton, Ashley Lear, Sara Stoneburner, Jordan Peyton, Tori Sasser, and Colton Lear. Ten great-grandchildren. Many dear friends. Her fur baby Sammie. Friends may call from 1-3 & 4-6 p.m. Wed. Dec. 29, 2021 at William Thompson and Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thur. Dec. 30, 2021 with Pastor Dick Newlon officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Union Cemetery.
