Stanley P. Barrows, 82, of South Zanesville, passed away at 12:35 a.m.  Tue. Aug. 3, 2021 at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room. He was born on Jan. 14, 1939 in Athens County, Ohio, a son of the late Kenneth Guy and Ruth (Stanley) Barrows. He worked at Big Bear/Hart's for 41 years. He served as a combat medic in the 695th Medical Company of the United States Army in Hanau, Germany. He was a 60 year member of the American Union Lodge #0001 F.& A.M. in Marietta and was a member of Fair Oaks Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Wilma L. (Powell) Barrows. One son Shayne (Roberta) Barrows. Four grandchildren Savannah (Charles) Gurnicke, Julia S. Barrows, Phillip S. Barrows, and Autumn Renee Barrows. One step-grandson Jole Lay.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son Vaughan P. Barrows.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Mon. Aug. 9, 2021 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Tim Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park.
