Virginia Lee “Ginny” (DeLong)Winsor, 86, formerly of South Zanesville, passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 19, 2025. She was born on January 10, 1939 in Newton Township, a daughter of the late Leo and Nellie (Bell) DeLong. She was a proud member of the Meadow Farm Methodist Church for many years. Virginia loved her family and especially her loving and caring husband Richard “Dick” Winsor for 70 years. She played the piano and organ and liked to write religious songs and poetry. She worked for many years at Super X Drug Store, Northside Pharmacy, Western & Southern Life Insurance, and several other jobs throughout her life. Virginia is survived by her husband Richard “Dick” Winsor. Her sons William (Robin) Winsor, Craig (Terri) Winsor. Her daughters Christine (Michael) Bronkar, Suzanne Winsor. Step-daughters Richelle (Jim) Matthew and Melissa (Wayne) Smith. 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her son Steven Gregory “Woody” Winsor, her sister Margy Clark, and her brother Don DeLong. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m -2:00 p.m. Friday May 23, 2025 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dean Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
