Warren Douglas "Doug" Lane, 58, of Zanesville, passed away on Monday May 17, 2021. Doug was born on September 18, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio, to Davis and Linda Lane. Doug attended Watkins Memorial High School graduating in 1981. He worked as a disc jockey at K95 and T-100. His radio name was Tommy Douglas. He later worked at Andrews Jewelers and as a manager at Gabe's. He was a member of the bluegrass band "Timerline". Doug's passion was country music, playing the guitar, fishing, and following his beloved New York Yankees.
Doug is survived by his wife of 19 years Tammy (Brock) Lane. Daughter Erin Davis Lane of the home. His step-children Ryan (Megan) Cooper of Zanesville and Sarah Cooper and fiancee Braden Thomas of Baltimore, Ohio. His mother Linda Lane. One brother Dennis Lane of Kirkersville. Lifelong friend Roland (Marcia) Robbins of Pataskala. Special aunt Connie (Gerald) Rinard of Utica. Several other aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.
Doug was preceded in death by his father Davis Lane and both sets of grandparents.
The family requests that masks be worn for a memorial service to be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday May 21, 2021 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage with Pastor Anthony Southard officiating. The family would like to acknowledge that Doug was a tissue donor and that memorials can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association, or the Muskingum County Animal Shelter.
